Contact us as early as possible - the earlier the better
If the goods are coming in by ship, we will need the Bill of Lading and list of contents, along with all details of shipper and consignee, as well as where needed quota certificates for goods from certain countries, e.g. textiles from China.
If the goods are coming in by air, we will need the House Air Waybill, and if available the Master Airwaybill along with shipper and consignees details.
In both cases to expedite matters a copy of the Commercial Invoice will be needed.
Please note, the normal practice in the UK is that consignee is given 5 days to clear the goods if coming in by sea, and 24 clear hours if coming in by air before storage charges are incurred.
So it is in your interests to let us have all the details as early as possible to facilitate clearance procedures with customs.
